Deer, chilling under the trees, chewing cud and unbothered by the tourists.
Deer are everywhere. A beautiful imagery of co-existence between human and animals. Taken with Nikon D5100
Nara Park, Nara, Japan Nara, often known just for the bowing deer, hides some beautiful views as well. After visiting the deer, we circled Sarusawa Pond, watching the ducks glide and pigeons fly by while the Kofuku-ji Pagoda watched over us. Not much tourist yet since it was early in the morning. Just beautiful! (Plus, the deer are not as aggressive, since the deer food stalls are still closed.) Taken with Nikon D5100

Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa, Japan From the Kaminarimon and Hozomon gates to the grand Main Hall, it’s hard to believe Senso-ji is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Even after 1,400 years, the details are still so beautiful and intact. It feels like a time capsule right in the middle of a busy city—the perfect example of how Japan protects its traditions while moving fast into the future. Taken with Nikon Z50

Originally built in 942 A.D. Rebuilt in 1648. Reborn in 1973. Standing tall at Senso-ji, this five-story pagoda is a masterclass in resilience. Reflecting on Jeremiah 18:4-6, from ancient wooden beams to modern reinforced concrete, it’s a reminder that no matter how many times things may fall apart, they can always be rebuilt stronger to stand the test of time in the right hands! "But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him... 'Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?' declares the Lord." Shot on Nikon Z50
Denpoin-dori, Asakusa, Tokyo Where Edo-era charm meets modern commerce. The hand-painted shutters and red lanterns of Denpoin-dori are stunning, but can you spot the tiny tip of the Tokyo Skytree peeking through the background? Taken with Nikon Z50
